Commercial HVAC Project Manager

This is a new Project Management position, the position will assume some of the smaller existing customers. This will give the successful candidate time to learn our internal practices as well as learn our customer base. Within 6-12 months the new Project Manager is expected to be generating new customers.

Responsibilities of Commercial HVAC Project Manager:

• Negotiating and closing project sales
• Training Project Team in process and procedures
• Managing project submittal process
• Obtain necessary documents to perform project tasks
• Daily communication with customers
• Generate coordination drawings for projects in CAD
• Generate RFI’s (Request For Information)
• Generate change orders
• Project Coordination with General Contractors/Engineers/Trades
• Provide project specific fabrication instructions for Production Team
• Coordinate with purchasing to assure on time delivery of product
• Coordinate delivery schedules between customer and Shipping/Receiving
• Generate Project Team billings for Accounting
• Managing project closeout process

Requirements for Commercial HVAC Project Manager:

• 3-5 years commercial/residential HVAC installation
• 5+ years Commercial HVAC Project Management experience
• Solid knowledge of the construction process
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Excellent organization skills
• Excellent AutoCAD, BIM-Revit, and Navisworks knowledge and skills
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft SharePoint

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
• Prior field experience in commercial HVAC
• Experience with SYSpro or similar ERP system
• Experience with Quote Soft estimating software

Commercial HVAC Estimator

This position is for a Commercial HVAC Estimator in our estimating department. The right candidate must have excellent technical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, must possess a high degree of integrity, the ability to analyze a variety of problems, work independently, and work with in-house staff to create estimates. This position requires mature judgment, excellent time management, and excellent organizational skills.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year in commercial HVAC estimating
• Minimum education, High School/GED
• Ability to review, understand and analyze all types of mechanical drawings
• Self-motivated and quick learner
• Prepare detailed project proposals
• Recognize technical ambiguities and discrepancies in the bid documents
• Understand and apply specifications and scope of work requirements
• Perform vendor solicitations to develop project costs
• Work directly with in-house staff to create estimates

Preferred Skills:

• HVAC installation, fabrication, or sales experience
• Experience with Quote Soft estimating software
• Ability to perform detailed sheet metal and equipment take offs utilizing Quote Soft
• Prepare project cost estimates
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
